Inspired by the living space for women in the fifth courtyard of the Lin Family Gongbao House in Wufeng, the painting depicts the spatial limitations and sensory shielding experienced by women in history.
In that era, women waiting to be married were not allowed to be seen by outsiders. Even when watching a play or going on a blind date, they could only peek through the cracks and perceive the world through sound. The crack in the center of the painting, made of gold foil, is the boundary between the inside and the outside, and also a window of light to the world.
The century-old osmanthus in the crack has become an extension of perception, expressing the imagination and projection of the inside to the outside world.

Inspired by the image of the peony in the "Big Flower Hall" of the Lin Family Gongbao Mansion in Wufeng, the peony has symbolized wealth and prosperity since ancient times. Whether in traditional or modern society, the yearning for "wealth" always carries positive expectations.
The peony in the center of the picture slowly blooms with layers of petals stacked in a sustainable velvet flower craft; the center of the flower is embedded with red and yellow agate, symbolizing the cohesion of energy and vitality.
In the contrast of copper light and black, the peony has both outward prosperity and inward stability.

In the fourth space of Wufeng Lin Family Gongbao House, clusters of periwinkle sprouted in the empty space that had originally disappeared.
Without artificial care or deliberate arrangement, it grows naturally in the gaps left by the building, forming a contrast between a strong sense of existence and a sense of spatial loss.
The vitality of periwinkle is extremely strong, and its "wild" state breaks the order of human control, showing a distinct conflict and poetry in the disappearing traces of historical space.

Lucky clover carries the "search" in our common cultural memory: the expectation and surprise of finding four leaves is like finding a small but real sense of happiness in life.

The Chinese Horseshoe, as a small potted plant standing in front of the parking garage, carries the task of reminding people not to park. Although it is used to maintain order, its cute, heart-shaped appearance forms a strong contrast with the intimidating red "Do Not Park" words, creating a contrasting mirror image between the object's suggestion and function.
From the perspective of "one scene, one mirror", potted plants are functional existences that imply the boundaries of private space. However, the green potted plants stand guard with a soft posture, reflecting the ordinary things in the environment, which all contain subtle tension and social functional implications.

Hibiscus is a common potted plant on street corners. It may seem ordinary, but it triggers memories of taking care of it in my childhood. It is a private interweaving of time and space that instantly pulls me out of my current environment and brings me back to the memories of my childhood when I started to grow hibiscus because I was learning how to press flowers.
This instantaneous feeling is a mirror image of time and space. Hibiscus grows in the current environment, but reflects personal life experience and emotional memory. "Hibiscus" is not only a faithful presentation of the plant itself, but also contains bits and pieces of personal childhood.
